Joulukuusi The Christmas Tree

Siiri´s and Iivari´s Christmas tree is always beautiful in their mind. There are only some Christmas Tree ornaments on it. The green twigs are allowed to bee seen. The real candles would be nice, but it is  safer to have electric lights.

Iivariko?

Siiri loves all kind of flowers, but she thinks that a red Poinsettia is charming. She has also had  white Poinsettias, but she thinks the red ones are the most beautiful .
Green balls of marmalade are delicious and somebody has opened the box already and tasted. Is it Iivari?
Takkaa koristaa Iivarin tekemä havuköynnös, mikä tekee juhlan tunnun.

This festive fireplace garland is decorated with a red bow and red berries. It is made by Iivari.

Kynttilät, karkit ja punaiset omenat kuuluvat Siirin ja Iivarin jouluun myös.
Keittiössä on vielä täysi kaaos, mutta onneksi ei ole vielä joulu. Nähdään huomenna tai ylihuomenna.

Candles, candies and red apples are also a part of Siiri´s and Iivari´s Christmas.
There is a mess in the kirchen, but luckily Christmas is not here yet. See you tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

  4. Sirkka,

I believe Christmas doesn't get any cosier than Siiri´s and Iivari´s living room. I especially like the first photo with the illuminated tree. It shows the comfort and magic of Christmas perfectly.

Have a WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS, Sirkka, and a very good start into 2017!

    1. Siiri and Iivari are not satisfied with their Christmas Tree, because it is made of chenille rods. They would like to have a Christmas tree that is made of Lucopodium Clavatum. I have fetched fresh twigs of that plant from forest, but the result is not the same if I had such twigs that have got some kind of treatment. Flower shops use this material, but I have not succeeded in buying it. They are more flexible and durable than fresh twigs.

    3. Oh, I am sorry to hear Siiri and Iivari aren't satisfied with their tree... I can imagine a tree made of Lycopodium Clavatum instead of chenille rods would be nice! ;) The Lycopodium plant looks very green and has nice short leaves. Does the colour change very much once the stems have dried?

    4. Hi, the green colour will fade, but it is not bad. It is between green and gray. The problem is the fragility of the plant when it is dry.
The plants in a flower shop have been dipped in some kind of chemical/ liquid. I don´t know precisely the method, but they are similar to fresh plants, but actually are not fresh. This is too difficult for me to explain this. The reason is my poor English skills.I am so sorry.
Siiri and Iivari have to wait for next Christmas and send their wish to Santa.
