Uusi villatakki A new cardigan

Voi että minä tykkään tästä hiirestä. Sen vuoksi virkkasin hänelle uuden villatakin, joka on puuvillainen. Lankana oli käsinvärjätty monivärilanka Venne 40/2 ja muliinilangan yksi säie.

I love this mouse a lot.  That is why I  crocheted a new cardigan for her.

Siiri ja Iivari viettivät mukavan joulun. Koristeista on mukava nauttia edelleen. Tässä on kuva Siirin ompeluhuoneen kaapistosta.

Siiri and Iivari spended a very nice Christimas. It is nice to enjoy the Christmas decorations yet. This picture is of Siiri´s cabinet in her sewing room.

 Kaapin ovessa riippuu värikkäin palloin koristeltu kranssi.

There are colorful ornaments in the wreath. The wreath is at the cabinet door.

Iivari on tehnyt tämän puisen kynttelikön muutama vuosi sitten. Siiri tykkää siitä.

Iivari made this wooden candelabra some years ago. Siiri loves it. 

 

Iivari on työskennellyt tänään verstaassaan ja tuli pyytämään Siiriä kahville.

Iivari has worked in his workroom today and is asking Siiri for a cup of coffee.

Siirillä on meneillään mielenkiintoinen virkkaustyö. Se on vasta ihan alussa, mutta valmistuu nopeasti.

Siiri has a very interesting crochet work under progress. It is in the beginning yet,but it will be finished very soon.

Virkkaus jäi pöydälle ja Siiri meni Iivarin kanssa kahville.

Siiri went for a cup of coffee with Iivari and she left her chochet work on her desk.

Siksak-peite Zig-zag blanket

Siirillä on olohuoneen sohvalla uusi virkattu siksak-kuvioinen peite ja tyyny. Hän halusi peitteeseen väriä, mutta siitä ei saanut tulla liian kirkas.
Vaasissa puolestaan on todella kirkkaan värisiä kukkia. Katkeraa maksaruohoa.

Siiri has a new zig-zag -crochet blanket and a billow. She wanted  a colourful result, but not too bright.
In the vase she has very shiny flowers. Sedum acre is the name of them.

Inspiraatio Inspiration

Siirillä on ollut viime päivinä paljon energiaa kaikenlaisiin töihin. Hän on virkannut, neulonut sukkaa ja siivonnut. Päässä on pyörinyt monia uusia ideoita.

Siiri has had a lot of energy to do many kinds of tasks lately. She has crocheted, knitted socks and cleaned her sewing room. There has been many new ideas in her head.

Ei ole vaikea arvata, että sukat ovat Iivarille.

Näistä virkatuista isoäidin neliöistä pitäisi valmistua torkkupeitto.

The crochet granny squares are for a  blanket.

Siirillä on suuri määrä kankaita. Kaapit olivat epäjärjestyksessä ja hän päätti järjestää ne.

Siiri has a lot of fabrics. Her cupboards are out of order and she decided to organize them.

Siiri pyyhki myös pölyt.

She wiped also the dust.

Ompelukoneen hän käänsi ikkunaa vasten. Ja öljysi ompelukoneen. Onneksi ohjekirja löytyi helposti.

The sewing machine is now in front of the window. She oiled the machine. Luckily the manual was easy to find.

Iivari teki nauharullille pienen telineen. Ohje siihen löytyy Marian blogista. Teline ei ole aivan täysin tehty ohjeen mukaan, mutta idea on sieltä peräisin. Ompelutarvikerasiastakin löytyy nyt kaikki tarvikkeet helposti, sillä ne on järjestetty.

Iivari made a small stand for Siiri´s ribbons. You can find the tutorial  here. Iivari didn´t make it exactly according to the tutorial, but the idea is from Maria. Siiri organized her sewing accessory box. Now it is easy to find, what is needed.

Virkkauksia Some crocheted items

Siiri on virkannut uuden sängynpeiton ja kaksi tyynyä. Tyynyt ovat isoäidin neliöistä tehdyt. Seinällä on kasvitauluja, jotka ovat vanhalta koululta.

Siiri has crocheted a new bedspread and two pillow cases. The patterns of the pillow cases is granny squares. There are also new pictures on the wall. They are from an old school.

Siiri tarvitsi myös lämpimän shaalin itselleen, koska sää on muuttunut kylmäksi. Aamulla oli -10 astetta pakkasta.

Siiri needed also a warm shawl for herself, because the weather has become cold. In the morning the temperature was -10 degrees Celcius.

Ilman viilentyessä on hyvä olla paljon lukemista ja suklaata.

It is good to have many books and a lot of chocolate when the weather is turning cool.

Jotain uutta Some new things

Siiri virkkasi myös muutaman korin lankoja varten.

Lämmin villatakki A warm cardigan

Olemme vihdoinkin saaneet hieman lunta ja vesisade on  muuttunut pakkaseksi. Sisälläkin tuntuu viileämmältä. Siiri virkkasi itselleen lämpöisen villatakin ja nyt tarkenee. Se istuu mukavasti  päälle ja tuntuu päällä ihanalta. Langassa on villan lisäksi vähän silkkiä.

The winter has started finally. We have got some snow and the temperature shows cold. There is also a little bit cooler inside the house. That is why Siiri has crocheted a cardigan for herself. Siiri thinks it is quite comfortable and  suits well for her.  The material is made of sheep wool and silk.

Siiri näki ohjeen täällä, mutta malli ei ollut sellaisenaan hänelle sopiva. Hän virkkasi takin helman ja nappilistan myös vähän eri tavalla.

Siiri saw the tutorial here, but it wasn´t perfect for her.  She had to make some changes. She crocheted also the hem and button closure in a different way.

Uusia huonekaluja Some new furniture

Lastenhuoneessa on kaksi uutta punottua jakkaraa. Puuosat on tehty grillitikuista ja istuinosa on punottu pinkillä ja limellä virkkauslangalla.

There are two new seatings in the childrens room. They are made of barbecue sticks and crochet cotton thread. Muru chose the colours: pink and lime.

Maton päälle on ilmestynyt myös valkoinen nuken sänky, jota on koristeltu pienin kynsitarroin.Sängyn päällä on virkattu pitsipeite.

There is also a new bed for a doll. It is white and decorated with tiny nail stickers. There is a lime bedspread over the bed.
